Institute of Management Technology, Nagpur
Hey Abhishek,
IMT is an established brand. Though the Ghaziabad campus is the oldest, among your options, IMT Nagpur would be the best. GLIM comes close but due to the PGPM course at GLIM , the placements and opportunities for PGDM at GLIM is limited. Welingkar can be preferred to its location but IMT being the brand that it is, leaves them behind.
Good Luck.
Out of two it is better to go for IMT Nagpur. Atleast you get the brand name IMT moreover the placements at IMT Nagpur are way better than ISBM Pune. Also, I would rather suggest you to go for IMT Nagpur only if it is mandatory for you to pursue your PGDM this year itself. But in case you are in a position to take a drop and prepare simultaneously while doing some internship simultaneously, it would be a better choice. Although IMT Nagpur is preferable over ISBM Pune, but it would be a wise option to take a drop and try next year rather than joining these colleges.
Hi Nikhil, thanks for contacting Careers360. There is no fixed percentile placed by colleges and it varies every year based on their seat filling and number of applications etc.
However, Based on CMAT score you have the chances to get a call from IMT Nagpur & IMT Hyderabad. If you want to check your other colleges then you can use CMAT pathfinder Tool.
CMAT Pathfinder tool
Try applying for both colleges but concentrate on IMT Hyderabad. For getting more colleges list, you may try out pathfinder,

Hello Rishi,
BOth college are new and backed by two well known brand i.e. IMT & GLIM.You should choose on factors such as placements, faculty, fee, batch size, alumni network and recognization.
GLIM :(It is a 1 year program and requires 2 yrs experience)
Fee : 14,84,000 lac(including hostel,mess and etc)
Placement: Avg 11.14 lac ctc Highest !8 lac ctc
Batch size : 60 seats
IMT Nagpur : (2 years course freshers can also apply)
Fee : 12,10,000 (Including hostel mess and etc)
Placements : Avg 7.5 lac Highest 12.5 lac
Batch Size : 250 to 300 seats
As we consider above statistics I will suggest you to take GLIM Gurgoan PGPM as batch size is small,Return on investment is high.If batch size is too big then it become difficult to place all students on zer placement day.So choose wisely considering above facts.
Hope I cleared your doubt. All the best for future endeavor
Hello Pritam,
I would like to say that, in any institute or college you may study, because every institutes have their own way of teaching, this is my view about institutes but if you want to know that which is better, then you should ask the individuals who is or who was studying in that institute. You should focus on yourself and your study.
Thanks for query on this platform, you may visit again for further queries.

Hi Deepanshu,
Congratulations for getting shortlisted.
Since your percentile is good and you feel the interview was average, you have very good chances of selection.
Your background (engineering/ non-engineering, cgpa, work experience) will also add in determining your chances. Yet, you have very good chance of selection.
Did u get the call frm nagpur and hydrabad?

Hello Mayank..
congratulation for your great score.you have a very good score to convert to calls from all the three mentioned colleges. Generally, the cutoffs vary every year based on various factors. Generally the cutoff for Prin. Welingkar and IMT Nagpur is 80+ and thst for Great Lakes is 90+. You have a secured percentile and can covert them to calls mostly. Mostly colleges give less weightage to academic profiles. It plays a role in the Personal Interview only. It would be overlooked if the performance in GD and PI is given at it best as you already have a wonderful percentile
