My cmat score is 219. 10th percentage is 85.5 12th is 93% And graduation is 70.95 Can i get a call from imt nagpur?

Sreyashi Das 25th Feb, 2019

Hello Shripriya. You have a decent score and you might qualify the cutoff for IMT Nagpur on the basis of your CMAT score. If you qualify you will be called for the personal interview round. The final admission in IMT Nagpur will be on the basis of your overall academic performance, CMAT score, personal interview and work experience (if any).

The weightage given to each of these sections are as follows:

  • Class 10th,12th, graduation scores and quality of graduating institute/college- 35%
  • Test score or percentile in CMAT (in your case)- 35%
  • Performance in Personal interview- 20%
  • Work experience (if any)- 10%

So if you get a call from IMT Nagpur you need to perform well in the personal interview round to secure your position in the college.

My Cmat Score is 91% and my interview for IMT nagpur and Hyderabad was average. What are my chances of selection?

Roshinee P 19th Feb, 2019

Hi Deepanshu,

Congratulations for getting shortlisted.

Since your percentile is good and you feel the interview was average, you have very good chances of selection.

Your background (engineering/ non-engineering, cgpa, work experience) will also add in determining your chances. Yet, you have very good chance of selection.

Good Luck!!

I have scored a 277 in CMAT that converts to 94.09 percentile. What chances do I have in IMT Nagpur, Great lakes and Welingkar?

atulranjan2306 Student Expert 10th Feb, 2019

Hello Mayank..

congratulation for your great score.you have a very good score to convert to calls from all the three mentioned colleges. Generally, the cutoffs vary every year based on various factors. Generally the cutoff for Prin. Welingkar and IMT Nagpur is 80+ and thst for Great Lakes is 90+. You have a secured percentile and can covert them to calls mostly. Mostly colleges give less weightage to academic profiles. It plays a role in the Personal Interview only. It would be overlooked if the performance in GD and PI is given at it best as you already have a wonderful percentile

All the best

Imt nagpur, hyedrabad cat cut off

Arunima Singh 18th Jan, 2019

Hi Pranav,

Before knowing the CAT cutoffs it is very important to understand what all factors are considered important before deciding each year's cut off. IMT Nagpur is deemd to be one of the most sought after univerisities for MBA programs and it decides its cutoffs based on the number of candidates who appeared for the test, previous year's cutoff, paper's difficulty level and the number of seats available for the programs. Therefore, based on these factors, the cutoffs margin varies each year.

Since, last year's CAT cutoff for IMT Nagpur was 80 percentile, and this year's result has not been published, it is expected that this year's result will also be 80 or around the same figure. For further reference, I am attaching herewith a website link for you to understand IMT's admission process better along with the expected result. I hope this helps you and all the very best!
