what will be the cmat cutoff to get admission in Great lakes chennai college and imt nagpur and imt Hyderabad also for pgdm

Sampriti Gupta Student Expert 6th Feb, 2020
Great Lakes Chennai considers an applicant pool of 500 students while giving a call so you can expect the cutoff to be a minimum of 98 percentile in CMAT.

For IMT Nagpur the minimum CMAT percentile required is 80 and for IMT Hyderabad they require a minimum score of 150 in CMAT. If you score more than 80 percentile you automatically get a call from both the Nagpur and Hyderabad campuses, provided that you've applied for IMT. But if your percentile is below 80 then you'll get a call only for IMT Nagpur. The GE/PI process for all the campuses except IMT Ghaziabad is conducted together and based on your performance you'll be allotted one of the two campuses.

I have scored 78 percentile in CMAT. can I get a call from Wellingkar and IMT Nagpur?

Sampriti Gupta Student Expert 4th Feb, 2020
With your CMAT percentile you may not get a call from Welingkar or IMT Nagpur as the minimum percentile required for these colleges are 90 and 80 respectively. But you can get a call from Welingkar Bangalore if you have a good profile in terms of work experience, academics or some achievements. You can also get a call from IMT Hyderabad as they require a minimum of 150 in CMAT in order to get a call.

Apart from that you should also check out these colleges with your scores
  • NIBM Pune (fees = 3.75 lakhs)
  • NDIM New Delhi (9.3 lakhs)
  • XIME Bangalore (10 lakhs)
  • BIMM Pune (7.85 lakhs)
  • Praxis Kolkata (7.57 lakhs)
  • XISS Ranchi (8 lakhs)

These are also reputed colleges and have good academics and placements. The average compensation package lies between 6-7 lakhs. Moreover you'll also get good alumni support for your future growth.

IMT nagpur vs Alliance bangalore vs IBS hyderabad. Which one is good for PGDM/MBA?

Shivika Tyagi 30th Jan, 2020

Hello Sakshi,

Both IMT nagpur and IBS Hyderabad are better than Alliance banglore. Now, if we compare IMT nagpur and IBS Hyderabad than both are decent colleges and both of them offer almost same average packages of about 6-7 lakh. But I will recommend you to go for IMT Nagpur as they have small batch in their college whereas IBS Hyderabad always have big batches of about 1200+ students. That's why placements becomes really tough there. And if we compare in other terms than both are good.

Pranav Mishra 26th Jan, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

For IMT NAGPUR AND HYDERABAD Last year cutoff in CMAT was 90 percentile. Although they call everyone who have applied for their interview round but only those who have got more than 90 percentile in CMAT last year was selected so you should also try to get atleast 90 percentile in CMAT, We can't predict number and it's respective percentile before exam, So, I will suggest you to give as many mocks as you can and try to do all questions you know in exam correctly, Every question count.

So keep working hard.

I hope the above information is beneficial for you.

All the best.

I have scored 69.903 percentile in XAT 2020 and based on this percentile which college is better in decreasing order from best to not so good : IMT Nagpur, BIMTECH(for IB), IMI Kolkata, FOSTIIMA, SIESCOM, IMI Bhubaneshwar and Universal School of Business Mumbai. I really need to join MBA this year.

Sampriti Gupta Student Expert 25th Jan, 2020
If you're getting a call from all these colleges then you must attend the selection process of all of them because you should always keep some options to choose from as the competition is always very tough. But if you get selected in all of them you must go for IMT Nagpur first. IMT campuses are good for marketing programs and several reputed companies visit the campus. After that IMI Bhubaneshwar and Kolkata. They are also pretty decent colleges in terms of marketing, finance and HR programs. The average package offered there is nearly 5-6 lakhs.

The rest of the colleges you've mentioned are not very good as per your percentile. You can still get some average placements there with the average compensation package offered being 3-4 lakhs but you should keep them as your last resort.

BIMTECH Noida is good for the PGDM program but the career scope for the specialized programs is very poor. It cannot assure you a placement.

Do the 1.4 million rupees for IMT Hyderabad and IMT Nagpur include accommodation and food charges?

Sampriti Gupta Student Expert 13th Jan, 2020
Yes this is the overall fees of IMT Nagpur and Hyderabad campuses and they include hostel fees, mess facility, laundry facility and the academic fees. IMT Nagpur is pretty decent for branches like marketing and is way better in terms of placements as compared to the Hyderabad campus.
