what salary had insurance agent

Dhriti Sharma 22nd Apr, 2019

Hi Pooja,

Insurance agents does not get salary as such they get commission instead. The rate of commission usually depends on the Company's policy. For example, LIC has this policy that an agent will get 35% commission in the 1st year, then 7% for 2nd and 3rd year and 5% for 4th year onwards. The amount they are getting depends on the premium paid by the policyholder.

Hope you find this information helpful!

what salary had in this proffesion

Vishakha Khandelwal 17th Apr, 2019

Hello Pooja,

The avarage salary of an insurance agent is in the range of Rs 25,000 - 28,000 with different employers offering a different payscale.

Insurance agents who work for a brokerage firm will likely sell policies from several different insurance companies, while those hired by an insurance company serve as salespeople for their company's products.

Hope this helps.

All the best!

what I should for this job ?

Anonymous 8th Aug, 2017
If you feel like a career in life insurance sales is for you, there are a couple steps to take in finding your first job. Life insurance is not a profession for the thin-skinned or faint-at-heart. In fact, more than any other factor, including education and experience, life insurance agents must possess a fighting spirit. They must be people who love the thrill of the hunt, the rush of a sale and see rejection as a stepping-stone to eventual success. A career in life insurance sales is not ideal for those who view themselves as introverted, soft-spoken, or afraid of conflict.

First and foremost, you'll need to put together a resume that highlights your entrepreneurial spirit.

Once you've got your resume polished, you'll want to begin finding positions and applying. It's really important that you don't feel pressured to take the first position that comes along, as working for the wrong company can both burn you out and haunt you for the rest of your insurance career. Ideally, you want to work for a well-known company that has a good reputation among consumers, other agents and the insurance rating agencies.

Hope this helps!!!
