Hello,
Diploma:-
A large number of colleges/institutions around the country offer a PG Diploma in Interior Designing programme to students who have completed their degree or equivalent examination from a recognised state/central/private/deemed university.
Institutions
Eligibility
Candidate must have received at least 55 percent (45 percent to 50 percent for reserved category candidates) on a graduation or equivalent level examination from a recognised state/central/private/deemed university.
He or she must not have a backlog or compartment in any of the topics or subjects at the graduate or equivalent level that has not been cleared at the time of admissions.
Apart from the aforementioned qualifying criteria, individual colleges/institutions may have additional requirements that students must meet in order to be admitted.
Students in the reserved category must produce their reservation certificates issued by the appropriate authorities in order to get the benefits that apply to them.
Admission to certain institutes is based on a Common Entrance Test (CET). Candidates must pass the appropriate entrance test with minimum qualifying marks in order to be admitted to these institutes.
Most of the universities and colleges around the country that offer this course have the same qualifying criteria as the ones listed above.
Admission process
Admissions to the PG Diploma in Interior Designing programme are based on a merit-based criterion, with just a few institutes/colleges offering CET-based admissions.
Students must apply for such examinations since certain institutes/colleges offer a common entrance test for admission to the programme.
In order to be admitted to the programme, students must pass these examinations (for which they must be qualified to sit).
Following the exam, a merit list of finally qualified applicants is created, and candidates are asked to participate in the admissions procedure at the relevant institute or college.
Following the final allocation of seats to candidates, they are required to pay the course cost and register for the following academic year.
However, in most universities, admission is a simple job that involves merit-based acceptance to the programme.
MVoc:-
M.Voc. is a training programme for those who want to work in a specific field. A vocational training programme is designed to help students improve their skills.M.Voc. Interior Design is a course that focuses on interior design and its related fields. To enrol in this course, you must have finished a relevant Bachelor's Degree or B.Voc. course.
Colleges
The admissions process differs from one institute to the next. Some colleges are known to use a merit-based admissions system. Other institutions are known to use a direct admissions system.
Hope it helped
Hi Aspirant!
B.Des is a comprehensive degree of 4 years . It is a professional degree with drafting skills, if you are interested in opting specializations in interior design further such as:
Then I would suggest you to opt for B.Des. This degree aligns design techniques and skills with latest technology for innovation and development.
BA in interior is more oriented toward theorical concepts with less exposure to practicals. Therefore, I would suggest you to opt B.Des over BA in interior design. Ither than this youn can also explore for BSC in design, it will cover both theory and practicals in 3 years.
Hope I answered your query, thankyou!
Hi, hope you are doing well!
