Dear Purnima, cut off is the least score that you need to secure to qualify in a particular exam. So if the cut off says 50, you have to score atleast 50. Anything less than 50 doesnt qualify you in the exam. You can score anything above and beyond 50 but nothing less than 50. So in your case, to be qualified for the next level, you should score 50 and above.

Achievers Section has high priority in getting a top score.  but to qualify you have to score above 50% of total marks.

SOF has kept 3 critieria to qualify for 2nd level  olympiads exams:-

1. Top 5% of students,class wise from the 1st level of exam.
2. State wise or Zone wise top 25 ranked students from each class.
3. Class topper, top 10 from a class and scores atleast 50% marks. In case of section wise registrations, Class toppers  will be from each section where paticipation in each section must more than 25.

If you satisfy any of the above critieria then you can go for the 2nd level.
