As the eligibility criteria for any IIT ,Niit is 54 percentile for sc and 89 percentile for general. So you did not cleared the bar . Also for for niit and IITs , you need at least 95 above percentile to stand a chance for admission.

If you get the improvement results documents at time during reporting time at the colleges, there is no reason as to why your new and improved marks will not be considered.

If 9823 is rank of your son in general category,then As per your son rank and previous year cutoff, the colleges he get are:-
