The reservation criteria of JEE MAIN 2019 included parameters related to home state and other state quota.

This means that a candidate  belonging to the home state will get preference over other candidates in his or her home state university .

Jee mains is the only mode by which you can get into Indian institute information of technology. except IIIT- delhi, bhuvneshwar,banglore, hyderabad. They also have some jee mains quota but other mode are also available. And in IIIT by MHRD they accept only jee mains.
