Sneha,You have good chances at 11 IIMs including the Baby IIMs. The IIMS along with last year cut off percentiles is as follows:

IIM Jammu: 78.19

IIM Udaipur: 78.02

IIM Raipur: 78.01

IIM Kashipur: 78.01

IIM Ranchi: 78.01

IIM Bodhgaya: 78.01

IIM Tiruchirappalli: 78

IIM Rohtak: 78

IIM Shillong: 78

IIM Simbalpur: 78

IIM Sirmaur: 78

Now cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified for the next round, difficulty of the exam and top CAT percentile. You can check the cut off percentiles of non IIM Institutes with the help pf our Pathfinder https://bschool.careers360.com/pathfinder/cat . We are afraid IITs might be little tight for your Overall Percentile and one sectional cut off which is at 63.96. Now there is a CAP process for baby IIMs and it is not clear yet as which IIMs might participate. So you will have to keep an eye on each IIM's website that you may be interested in. Few IIMs have released their 2020 CAT cut offs and they are as follows:

Himanshu 14th Dec, 2019

Dear Aspirant,

Every year approximately 2 Lakh students appears for the CAT examination and the competition is very high. If your expected score is 83 percentile then as per past year trends, the expected cut off for IMI Delhi this year will be 90 percentile and for the IIMs it will be more than 90 percentile. Still you have a hope to get a call from IIM Ahmedabad as its cut off for the year 2018 General Category was 80 percentile . You never know when miracle happens so let's hope for the best.

Good Luck and Have a great Day!

Can anyone provide me details about the student exchange program of IMI New Delhi??

Aarushi Makhija 14th Oct, 2019

We are moving from the culture of exclusivity to inclusivity, problems require solutions from a global perspective. IMI strictly adheres to its vision and mission of shaping global leaders through its international academic collaboration and student exchange programs. It is one of the seven B- schools in India to have received accreditation from the international accreditation agency, Association of MBAs (AMBA). AMBA is awarded to the best programs internationally and denotes the highest standard of achievement in postgraduate business education.

The student exchange program broadly helps in two ways, firstly it brings global business perspective and enhances the personality. The student exchange program propels students towards acceptance and understanding of different cultures. It provides the much-needed multifaceted approach to learning. In this fast-paced world awareness is a necessary trait, awareness not just about the surroundings but about the global issues. Secondly, the student exchange program at IMI enhances the exposure to global issues and increases adaptability of an individual. The only way to succeed in life is by pushing yourself out of your comfort zone. Landing into a foreign space and culture helps one move out of the comfort zone, it provides the strength to confront the challenges, ultimately leading to excellence. Language is the most common barrier one faces while dealing with people from different cultures. IMI through its student exchange program provides the opportunity to break such barriers by increasing the acceptance and understanding of different cultures. Besides cultural acceptance, the foremost important knowledge one acquires through the student exchange program at IMI is about the business at a global level and problem-solving approaches used by different people in different parts of the world. It prepares the students of IMI for global roles.

IMI has association with the world’s leading Business Schools like

  • NJCU School of Business (New Jersey)

Hi Mehul,

IMI Kolkata is considered a decent college and it is one of the colleges among the top 50 according to NIRF list 2019. The following factors can be considered and analysed upon in order to consider this college:

Placements

Recently this college has shown a trend for 100% placement of its batch. Maximum package attained was Rs. 20 lakhs and minimum was Rs. 5 lakhs. The average salary for the batch is Rs. 6-7 LPA. The job roles offered were diverse from marketing research to taxation. Even the internship has shown a a trend of 100%.

It is one the colleges having the best infrastructure. All the contemporary facilities are provided by the college. 24- hr Wi-Fi is available and you can even enjoy the good collection of books in their library.

The faculty is very skilled and among the renowned individuals of this industry too. They use distinctive methods of learning which a student might expect for a good b-school.

Selection procedure

Once you have appeared for the entrance exam and cleared the cut off for any of the three exams – CAT, XAT or GMAT, you will be called for WAT-PI round.

The cut off for CAT – 80%ile and XAT- 80%ile.

WAT : This test evaluates your normal writing skills which include spelling and grammar and articulation skills.

PI : This usually lasts for 15 minutes. The aim of this round to know and understand how the candidate is and what is his approach to leadership.

The final selection is based on the entrance exam score, academic profile, verbal ability percentile, WAT/PI score and work experience (if any).

I have 60% in 10th, 47% in 12th and 64%in b.com graduation .Can i get admission in MDI gurgaon or FMS or IMI or FORE after clearing CAT exam

Hansa Gupta 2nd Aug, 2019

Hi neeraj,

Thanks for the question.. You can definitely get admission in any of the college provided you prepare well for the cat exam and also crack group discussion and interview with flying colours. .as the B schools you mentioned doesn't emphasise more on past academics although in some Institutes you mentioned might have eligibility criteria like minimum 50% required in 10th and 12th...so do take note of such Institutes before filling there forms as you have less than 50% in your 12th..

All the best

I want a best colleges for aerospace engineering

Anandhu J 12th Jun, 2019

Hello,

According to me you should join Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology Thiruvananthapuram. It is the best institute for studying aerospace engineering. To get there you should clear JEE Advanced and apply there. The admission depends on rank list prepared by the institute authorities. Then you can apply for SRM as well as Punjabi University which also provide good environment for studying aerospace engineering.
