To become an IPS officer you need to appear for Civil Service Entrance Entrance Examination. The eligibility criteria to appear for Civil Service Entrance exam is that a candidate must have passed Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized board. The education requirement is not limited to specific field you can purse any course in under graduate level. Educational qualifications: All you need to have is a graduation degree from any recognized university to appear for IPS, i.e., for Civil Services Exam.

Eligibility Criteria :

1.Age limit

21 years must be completed on 1st August of the year, which a candidate is appearing. Maximum 30 for general category, 33 for OBC and 35 for SC/ST . To become an IPS officer, you will have to appear for UPSA exam. The eligibilty criteria for UPSA clearly states that a candidate should have finished graduation. So, after class 10th, it is suggested to first focus on Class 12th and finishing your graduation. You can prepare for UPSC while doing graduation too.

DySP is stands for deputy superintendent of police. They are posted in subdivision. The post is equivalent to ACP Assistant commissioner of police in metropolitan. Candidates must be Indian citizens with any degree and between the ages of 21 to 38 years.
