can cai (computer artificial intellegence) can become a isro scientist ?...

Nikita 10th Sep, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

No, presently not. But it will be coming soon helping our talented scientists to focus more on real problems and decrease labor on side works. Though it has brainy scientists they are mortal and they need time to rest. AI on other hand need no rest because they run on electricity and it would need the best computer scientists ,astronomers, rocket scientists etc. to make a very good AI. ISRO leveraged Artificial Neural networks (ANN) which is generic name for a large class of machine learning algorithms, most of them are trained with an algorithm called back propagation.

ISRO is primarily responsible for developing space technology used for national development. As per the official ISRO Recruitment notification 2018, the ISRO had issued total 106 vacancies for Scientist Engineers Computer Science under Department of Space.

All the best!!

how to get admission in isro after 12 th exam

prasanna raghupatruni 14th Jun, 2021

Hello,

To get admission in ISRO after 12th exam, Students can get into IIST by clearing the JEE Mains and JEE Advance with a good rank. While IIST provides direct recruitment in ISRO, there are few conditions to fulfill. To eligible for ISRO counselling, IIST graduates must score above 7.5 CGPA. Also Not all the candidates can get into the ISRO as it depends on the number of Vacancies during their recruitment.

Another option is, after completion of Class-12 with non medical stream, the aspirants can opt their career in engineering and crack the ISRO (ICRB) exam to join the space agency. Also alternatively they can get admissions in Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology(IIST), located at Thiruvananthapuram for direct recruitment to ISRO.

Hope this information may help You,

Best Of Luck!!!

which IIT college m.sc Physics students have an opportunity to work with isro

Megha Bele 14th Jun, 2021

Hi,

When it comes to ISRO, it is the face of all the exploration projects of INDIA. As such, there is no particular IIT to get into ISRO. You only need to be passionate. Also, ISRO often picks up graduates and post-graduate engineers from IITs, NITs and other reputed government and private institutions. So it is better to have a degree in a course that is more likely to be shortlisted for the consideration of such jobs such as B.Tech in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Radio Engineering, Computer Science Engineering and Engineering Physics. There is sometimes a requirement of electronic engineers and Civil Engineers as well. Try to grab a degree from these institutions. Also, the easiest way to get into ISRO is through getting admission in IIST (Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology) .

Hope that helps.

Astronaut vs Scientist n which one is highly paid in isro.?

Arshiya 25th Jun, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

There is actually no competition between the two categories, both have their own importance.

Salary of a Scientist/ Engineer SC ranges between Rs 56,100 to 1,77,500 and that of a Scientist/ Engineer-SD is Rs 67,700 to 2,08,700.

An astronaut earns around 92,479.

So, range of salary is quite the same, everything else matter on your performance, abilities and experience.

Hope this helps!

What courses to take after 12th to join ISRO.? ~A PCBian

Subhrajit Mukherjee 9th Jun, 2021

Up to till ISRO is working in the space mechanics and satellite launching and not in Astrobiology or Astro chemistries etc. So for a PCBian you have lesser scopes to pursue your expertise there. Now if you want to be a part of ISRO then some of the not so traditional ways are:

  • Study managerial courses in order to work as a manager in ISRO
  • To be a doctor and serve in ISRO as a physician.

Now if you want to be a part of technical team then I would say you have to be in Engineering/ Physical Sciences/Chemical Sciences. Now for Physical Sciences you need to have Mathematics. Also for Engineering you need to have mathematics but this bound is removed this year.

The most preferred way to enter ISRO is to go for BTech courses at IIST. Pursuing this course will offer you a placement just after your graduation if you have score >8GPA.

To know more about IIST you may visit the link below:

I hope my answer helps. All the very best for your future endeavors!

however m.sc graduates are worked as scientific officers, however the Institution from where  you would complete the course would play a vital role. IITS, iisc graduates has on campus placement also for ISRO requirement.
