You can enter your mother's name as per the marksheet in the JEE Main application form . However, during the counselling process you need to provide an affidavit or a notarized document to explain that the both names belong to the same person.
Mistakenly selecting "No" for minority status in the NEET 2026 form is a serious error as NTA does not allow changing, crucial, non-editable fields like category/minority status after the correction window closes. You likely cannot claim minority benefits during AIQ counselling; however, keep your documents ready and try contacting NTA.
