After the completion of ITI course, one can take admission in the course of Diploma in Computer Engineering through lateral entry i.e., the student can get direct admission to the 2nd year of Diploma in Computer Engineering. After the Diploma, you can also complete the BTech course through lateral entry again.

ITI is a diploma course whereas IIT is a degree course. It takes about two years to complete the ITI course whereas through you have to do B. Tech degree which completes in 4 years. So the answer is crystal clear ovbiously a degree will take you to higher levels rather than a diploma. Also the IIT exam is a very hard nut to crack so you have to prepare accordingly.

For the course of Bachelors in Commerce, one is eligible if and only if he/she have passed the 10+2 examination. As a result, with only the ITI certificate you can't take admission to the course of BCOM. Now if you wish you can take admission to the course of Diploma in Engineering course with the ITI certification lateral entry but its not possible for you to go for the course of BCOM just after ITI.
