When you take admission in any IIT through a preparatory course, then you are not alloted any branch during the time of admission.

During first year you are not taught any engineering but only 11th and 12th science and maths and after 1 year you give exams.

Based on you performance in these exams, you are alloted a branch in your institute so getting CS only depends on how much hard work you can put in the first year.

To get a seat through CSAB counselling you have to first be eligible for the same. Since you are an EWS candidate, the cutoff for GEN-EWS is 78.21 percentile in JEE Main. CSAB Special Round (Spot Round) counselling takes candidates who have a valid JEE Main rank and are qualified and also who meet up the JoSAA eligibility criteria. Now as per your rank you can get a seat through CSAB for NITs,IIITs,GFTIs. Also you have an advantage of home state quota. So better apply for CSAB Special Round counselling and see which colleges are you getting and also which branches are being available to you.

You have to provide you CRL RANK in order to predict the college from the college predictor it will give you the accurate result because almost all engineering colleges in India consider the CRL rank and not the SC category rank. The predictor is meant for CRL it won't provide you result according to the SC category rank.

For seeing further rounds of counselling, a candidate has to visit the alloted institute on the reporting date to register himself for seat allotment. THere, you can either lock your seat in the alloted course and college, or you can slide for next rounds. All the documents and fees submission for counselling verification is done there. You have to visit the centre on your scheduled reporting and also complete the formalities in order to be eligible for next rounds. You can also withdraw from the counselling after all rounds if you donot get your desired institute, the fees is refunded with a few cancellation charges.

Hii Sujeet. I went through the cut offs of SRM University and that too for all campuses. But, the maximum rank which admitted in that college was near to 70000. So, it is nearly impossible for you to get into with this CRL. There is a huge difference that exists.
