Hello,

Well thats a pretty good score.Just Go through cutoffs of last year of all colleges.Find colleges according your convince. Also, Visit that college or Ask your senior friends belonging to that college. Hope this will help.

You will definitely get a good NIT. Cannot comment on Branch but trust me 175 in JEE MAIN is really a good score.

Hello.. I dont know how selection in NITs takes place! We only get tge marks and the selection is on the basis of ranking?

Yes Gaurav, you're correct.
You appear for JEE Mains, and you score a certain amount of marks. The board then ranks candidates on the basis of their marks.
Finally, seats are alloted as per the ranks and what preference of college and branch you choose while filling the form for
