It depends on the branch in which you are interested.You didn't mention category you belong to.Considering you are from general category,according to last year cutoffs closing rank irrespective of branch at jadavpur university is 100146 for production Engineering.But my suggestion is not to go with college but

Also since you go through various disciplines of studies like medicinal chemistry, pharmocology, biochemistry, Pharmaceutics, physics, computer etc. you can get through other field oriented placements as well like Accenture, Infosys
