See both the institute are the finest institute in westbengal. So if you have to choose between this two then you have select in terms of subject and your interest. Chemical Engineering have moderate job available in India. Although as we know for most core fields, the core jobs are less. But in case of printing technology there is a better working exposure. Also the placements of Printing technology are good as well as the Chemical Engineering. So it can't be distinguished in any manner of important. So I would recommend you to choose the field of your interest and either way you will get good jobs as well as future exposure.
If you want to go for Research and Development careers then Chemical Engineering will give you good scope in Nuclear Engineering, Chemical Synthesis and Micro Molecular Studies etc.
Now its your choice.

If you consider the importance of the course Chemical Engineering is much more important than Printing Engineering. Though Jadavpur University is a very renowned institution and your placements would be amazing in future but NIT Durgapur is also really a very good institution. The Chemical Engineering curriculum taught in that Campus is updated, with all the desired facilities, there are plenty student-friendly , experienced faculties. So I would suggest you to choose this over JU.

Dear aspirant,
The metallurgy branch is not that encouraging in Jadavpur University. The placements there at pretty normal and the average package stays generally around 6L per annum being one of the premier institutes of india.
General non core companies like Capgemini, wipro, airbus comes for placements for these branches. But many of the core companies still don't offer a very good amount of package in this college
However you can choose this college still because the fees is very less and you would be placed at a decent company for sure.
Hello Adi,
Although there is no limit on the number of attempts for WBJEE exam, it is never advisable to drop 4 years for any college, not even the top IITs, rest aside JU. You might not face any problem upfront but it will definitely create disastrous effects during placements and in your future career.
So to answer your question, Yes you can clear JU with proper preparation after dropping 4 years but it is never recommended.
Take your decision wisely and all the best.
Hi Aspirant!
According to the eligibility criteria for UG programs in Amity University Noida, candidate must have atleast 60% in 10+2 from a recognized board (general category). As you mentioned that you have 59% thus your candidature got cancelled. If during improvement you are able to score more than 60% (overall) then there are chances you might get into Amity University. Also, Amity University takes admission on the basis of JEE as well.
Kindly note that you are appearing for improvement in the month of September 2021, result will be declared in the month of October or November 2021. And there are chances that till that day, admissions get closed. So, I would suggest you to keep some other colleges as your back-up plan, in case Amity closes the admissions.
Thankyou!
Hi Sayantan,
Jadavpur University being the most sought after institute in West Bengal, the competition is tremendous. Unfortunately with your rank, i.e. 2851 it is extremely difficult to bag a seat in the Information Technology domain in JU even though you belong to OBC category B.
However, you might qualify for other branches in JU with your rank and reservation. Do checkout the cutoff of various branches in JU over the past years by clicking the following link.

Hope this helped.
Hi aspirant, since you have 2200 rank in your WBJEE exam so you can easily take admission in the colleges you have mentioned in the question with the branches you have decided so one thing is important in choosing your college among your prescribed colleges you need to remember first that there are two factors like;
College with your desired branch doesn't matter the which college you opt.
Secondly college according to your finance condition.
So it's on you whether you want to go with your desired branch in any of the college whereever you get seat or you may choose college on behalf of your financial condition.
Thank You.
Dear Aniruddha,
Congratulations on getting chance in Haldia college. In case of Jadavpur university please note that your Gmr is considered while admission, not your tfw ranking.
So as per statistics your Gmr is greater than the closing ranking of Jadavpur university hence you are not eligible. You can check the cut-off details and previous year trends of Jadavpur university in the link below:
