suppose I accept a seat in jossaa councelling and I already paid the acceptance fee. Now I realized, I got a seat in Jadavpur university through wbjee councelling because their councelling timings are different. Can I again join JU neglecting the college I got through jossaa councelling. or that college will seize my documents and I have to give penalty for seat wastage.

Nitin Kumar 8th Jun, 2024

There can be complications if you accept a JoSAA seat and then decide to go for Jadavpur University (JU) after getting selected through WBJEE counselling.

Accepting a seat in JoSAA and paying the acceptance fee indicates your commitment to that particular college/institute. JoSAA might impose a seat wastage penalty if you decide to withdraw later. The specific penalty amount can vary. Colleges generally don't seize original documents. They might keep attested copies for verification purposes during the admission process.

Question : Directions: Speed of six bikes T1, T2, T3, T4, T5 and T6 are compared. The speed of T6 is more than only three bikes. No two bikes have the same speed. The speed of T4 is more than T2 but less than T6. The speed of T3 is not less than T5. The speed of T2 is not the least. Speed of which bikes can be more than T4?
I. T3
II. T1

Option 1: Only II

Option 2: Only I

Option 3: Neither I nor II

Option 4: Both I and II

Team Careers360 26th Jan, 2024

Correct Answer: Both I and II

Solution : Given:
(I) Speed of six bikes T1, T2, T3, T4, T5, and T6 are compared. The speed of T6 is more than only three bikes.
_ > _ > T6 > _ > _ > _
(II) No two bikes have the same speed. The speed of T4 is more than T2 but less than T6. The speed of T3 is not less than T5. The speed of T2 is not the least.
As the position of T5 and T1 is not mentioned so there are two possible cases as given below–
(Case I) T3 > T5 >T6 >T4 > T2 >T1
(Case II) T3 > T1 > T6 > T4 > T2 > T5

So, according to both cases, the speed of both T3 and T1 bikes can be more than T4. Hence, the fourth option is correct.

Question : Case Study 75

ABC Corporation is a well-known company with its shares listed on a stock exchange. The company's management is reviewing the concept of dematerialization.

Question :

In dematerialization, what replaces physical share certificates?

Option 1: Trading orders

Option 2: Dividend checks

Option 3: Electronic records

Option 4: Ownership deeds

Team Careers360 24th Jan, 2024

Correct Answer: Electronic records

Solution : The correct answer is (c) Electronic records

In dematerialization, physical share certificates are replaced by electronic records. Dematerialization involves converting physical share certificates, which are paper-based, into an electronic format. The ownership and details of the shares are recorded electronically, and these electronic records are stored in a dematerialized or demat account. This process eliminates the need for physical share certificates and instead relies on digital records to represent ownership of shares.
