Jadhavpur university doesnot accept jee main score. The only way to get into it is wbjee which is west bengal joint entrance examination. Some seats are also reserved for other state students . So you must give wbjee to get admission into JU.

If you feel Civil is good then it is best to stay with Jadavpur

If you are interested in say CSE,ECE then it is better to choose branch over college and join
