Let me give you an honest answer.
I’m passionate about aerospace engineering and I chose Jain University for my graduate studies in aerospace. I will present to you the facts and experiences about the course and the college and you decide whether you want to join or not.
First of all, aerospace engineering field is still developing in India and there are so many who have not heard of such a course exists in the first place. Though aerospace giants like Airbus and Boeing have their R&D and support centers in India, they just take professionals who are 5-10 years experienced. Few government PSUs like ISRO, DRDO and ADA prefer aerospace graduates for project assistants and graduate engineer posts. But their number is very less and has high competition for the jobs. So, if you are looking for a core job immediately after a degree in aerospace engineering, sorry to disappoint you my friend but that does not going to happen except for a lucky few from IITs.
This is the fate of aerospace engineering in India.
After hearing this, still you are passionate and want to study aerospace engineering I suggest you can try for reputed IITs for your studies. If you won’t get a seat, no problem! It’s not the end of the world. You can try for some private colleges and then have a plan for masters in some reputed Universities in India or abroad.
Keeping all these scenarios in mind, let me tell you about Jain University in Bangalore for aerospace engineering course:
1. In Jain University, aerospace engineering course comes under the purview of IIAEM (International Institute for Aerospace Engineering & Management) which is a collaborative venture between Jain University and Society of Indian Aerospace Technologies and Industries (SIATI).
2. I think one of the main attractions of IIAEM is its teaching and faculties. Most of the faculties are retired employees from HAL, NAL, ISRO and ADA who have vast industrial as well as academic experience and attending their lectures is truly a treat in terms of knowledge which you can gain.
International Institute for Aerospace Engineering and Management (IIAEM), a collaborative body between JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) and Society of Indian Aerospace Technologies & Industries (SIATI) offers engineering courses in the field of Aerospace. IIAEM works with JU-FET to prepare the students in Aerospace Engineering for research oriented professions as well as careers related to industrial designing, problem solving and innovation in the aeronautics sector.
Other than graduate and postgraduate courses in Aerospace Engineering, IIAEM also has Ph.D. programs and specialized M.Tech programs for working professionals. With an aim to train students in acquiring skills required to undertake industrial tasks with minimum on-the-job training and workplace orientation, these courses provide relevant training in the areas of Aerospace Engineering. IIAEM focuses on grooming students professionally and personally to become Aerospace Engineers who are exposed to theory, associated laboratory based practical experiments, and project work as a part of Activity Based Learning (ABL).
Aerospace Engineering ” is one of the most preferred engineering specializations in today’s era for the students who wish to make their career in Spacecraft, Space Shuttles , Missiles Development , Aircraft ,Space Research & Development.
Aerospace engineering is a combination of aeronautical engineering and astronautical engineering. It is the primary field of engineering concerned with the development of Aircraft and Spacecraft. In Indian Context previously only Aeronautical Engineering discipline was available however with increased demand in aviation sector and growing research and development need the demand for Aerospace Engineers has increased across the globe.
