I have 96.16% in CAT 2020 and above 90 in all sections. I am a domicile of Maharashtra. When will the admission procedure for 2021-23 begin and typically when are the admission form available? What are my chances of getting into JBIMS?

Vishakha Vaidywan 21st Jan, 2021

Hello aspirant!

Congratulations on your percentile. Well done. The admission process of most colleges will begin around mid february onwards. You can expect calls from several colleges and I would suggest that you start preparing for that right away. The next process will be the GDPI process and it is likely to happen online this time. Brush up on the following meanwhile-

1. General Knowledge - Start reading newspapers daily and follow good youtube channels like studyIQ for news and good content.
2. Brush up your profile and be prepared with answers of basic hygiene questions. Do not ignore the importance of having a solid profile.

For JBIMS, the cutoff last year was around 98-99 percentile. This year however most colleges might reduce cutoff to ensure more footfall for admissions as more students will be apprehensive about MBA due to the pandemic. We can only wait for the final cutoff.

All the best!

NIDHI 3rd Nov, 2020

As such, there is no set eligibility criteria set by GMAC, the body conducting GMAT for appearing for the GMAT exam. However, one should always meet the eligibility criteria set by the university/college one aspires to get into after giving the GMAT.

Age criteria
The candidate must have completed 18 years of age

Candidates who wish to enroll in an MBA program should possess a graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university
The GMAT exam is designed to be attempted in English; hence basic understanding and fluency in the language is a must for the aspirants. In order to clear the exam, one must have the skills to comprehend the twisted and confusing questions asked in the exam. The exam is tough and complicated; henceforth, its aspirants must have excellent command over the English language.

This includes differently-abled candidates as well, who are provided with special exam accommodation upon request. For such aspirants, the medical documents that define a candidate’s disability are put confidential, which has been thoroughly described in the privacy statement declared by the GMAC.
