What might be the fees for Demeed Universities in Karnataka such as Jawaharlal Nehru medical College Belgaum and JSS Medical College Mysore in Stray vacancy round? Will it vary a little bit or will be the same as it was mentioned in mcc website?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 1st Dec, 2020

Stray Vacancy round is nothing but a final round conducted at the Institution to fill up the vacant seats. The DGHS will send the list of the registered Candidates to 10 times of the vacant seats. This means if there is 1 vacant seat, MCI will send a list of 10 Candidates to be filled on the basis of merit alone. The fees remains the same for both Management Quota and Stray Vacancy round. The annual fee structure without miscellaneous charges is as follows:

JNMC:     Rs. 15,24,000

JSS Medical College:     Rs. 14,71,750

The amount mentioned in the MCC website might not have included the miscellaneous charges.

To be eligible for Stray Vacancy round one should have not been allotted a seat in Round 1 or 2 of All India Counselling. Such Candidate should also not have been allotted a seat in Mop up round. Those Candidates who have not registered for all the previous rounds also is eligible for applying for Stray Vacancy round.

S. Saha Student Expert 8th Nov, 2020
Jawaharlal Nehru Medical college Aligarh is one of the leading medical colleges of India. So the cutoffs are used to be high. If we go through the last year's cutoffs, then the cutoff score for general category candidates through State quota was around 600 out of 720. And through all India quota the cutoffs were even higher. Around 635 for general category candidates through All India quota. But keep in mind that these are based on last year's data and this year the cutoffs can change. What is the cut off rank and marks for Kle Vk Kattimani Dental Institute Belgaum and Jawaharlal Nehru medical College Belgaum SC Category, Government quota seat?

Kanith Sawkar 4th Nov, 2020

Hey aspirant,

As per previous year's data for Karnataka 85% state quota seats, the cutoff for MBBS government seat at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Belgaum was 147476 rank and 382 marks.

Admissions to KLE VK institute of Dental Sciences, Belgaum is through MCC, since it is a deemed university, so it is a management/paid seat with total fees of around Rs 17 lakhs. The cutoff will depend on the institute and will be quite low, so admission chances will be easy.

Hope it helps.

Do Demeed Universities such as Jawaharlal Nehru medical College,Belgaum, JSS Medical College,Mysore and KLE Vk Kattimani Dental College, Belgaum also comes under 85% state quota counselling conducted by KEA?

Anurag Khanna 2nd Nov, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

No any of the deemed universities does not come under state quota counselling. See, seats in the deemed universities are only filled through All India quota counselling. It is irrespective of any state because whether you belongs to any state you must have to participate in AIQ counselling conducted by DGHS on the behalf of MCC to get a seat in any of the deemed universities.
