- Senior School Certificate (10+2) or equivalent examination in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with minimum 45% marks.
- The University admits students to UG programmes through Pre-Agriculture Test (PAT), a MP State level unified entrance test, conducted by the Professional Examination Board (VYAPAM), Bhopal.
- Candidates selected through the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) entry test.

For persuing B.Tech. in agriculture in JNKVV you must have passed the your SSC and HSC with the subjects Physica, Mathematics and Chemitry ans also you must have appeared for PAT. The results of PAT are not yet announced so we are not able to tell you the cutoff marks. In order to get admission in JNKVV the Institutes have some minimum marks which you must have scored in PAT. And by reffering the website of PAT you can get yourself updated with the results and other announcements. The separate merit list will be prepared for the students who have qualified the entrance test. After the announcement of the results, the counselling will be held for those who have qualified the test. You have to register yourself on the official website. You have to go through the choicefilling round in which you have to enter the colleges of your preference and of course JNKVV in your case. You will be called for the counselling according to your choice of colleges. And you will be allotted the seat as per your rank secured in exam. So wait for the results and keep yourself updated with the cutoff marks so that you will be able to go for the counselling process. Both the courses are good and one should follow his/her heart in selecting the course. If you are interested and most important comfortable with pets, animals or wildlife then you can opt for veterinary. But on the contrary if you are interested in plants, crops, and natural resources you should opt for a career in Agriculture.
If you study Agriculture, later you can do Msc/MBA-Agribusiness, get a job, or start your agriculture related business.etc.
If you pursue Veterinary, then afterwards you can do MVSc, open up a clinic, join Indian Army as Vet.Corps.etc.
