Can I do M.A in PISM/IRAM/Modern world history from JNU just after completing B.Tech Mechanical without doing B.A ?? If yes then what is the meaning of eligibility criteria of 50% marks of 10+2+3 yrs pattern of education if B.Tech is of 4 yrs ?? plzz

Anjali Kumari 22nd Oct, 2020

Hi Student ,

No, it is no compulsory to have a BA degree to pursue a masters . In most of the institutes the eligibility criteria for a masters in  is around 45-50% marks in your undergraduate degree in any field. But in a few reputed institutes UG is compulsory.

10+2+3 means class X, class XII and 3 years of graduation .And 50% aggregate means 50% average of your first year, second year and third year of 3 year bachelor degree course.
A few colleges ask for 60% consistent score in all the three levels as minimum eligibility criteria for post graduate courses.

Thank you

Aditya kumar singh 12th Oct, 2020
Hi,
Yes definately it provides excellent atmosphere for students pursuing btech . Faculty is good, computer labs run desktop computers with intel i7 and windows 10 . Students are provided with jnu wifi network as well as email id with unlimited google drive storage.
Rooms are spacious and well maintained. There are indoor and outdoor  fields for different sports.
Currently no batch has been graduated so there is no record of placements but overall it is a  good college for btech .
Hope it helps...
