No, it is no compulsory to have a BA degree to pursue a masters . In most of the institutes the eligibility criteria for a masters in is around 45-50% marks in your undergraduate degree in any field. But in a few reputed institutes UG is compulsory.
10+2+3 means class X, class XII and 3 years of graduation .And 50% aggregate means 50% average of your first year, second year and third year of 3 year bachelor degree course. A few colleges ask for 60% consistent score in all the three levels as minimum eligibility criteria for post graduate courses.

I would like to tell you that as Jawarhlal Nehru University conducts its own entrance exams, named JNUEE you can not get admission in JNU without giving the entrance exam. It is mandatory for a student to give the entrance exam to get admission in JNU.

Hi Yadav, the subjects in M.A with English literature is,
1) Prose- Indian literature in English I / American literature II.
2) Linguistics and English language II- Fiction ll.
3) poetry ll- Literary and criticism ll.
4) Drama ll- Indian literature in English l / American literature ll.
JNU sample papers and previous year question papers are quite enough to get more marks. Solving sample papers give better understanding of questions and exam pattern. There is no need to go through books.

For taking admissions in M.A Political Science, The minimum eligibility criteria is candidates must have completed a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline under 10+2+3 education pattern with at least 50 per cent marks in aggregate of Social Sciences subjects and at least 55 per cent marks aggregate of Science & Technology subjects.

Eligibility Criteria:
A candidate must have passed the Bachelor’s degree (with 50% marks in aggregate) in the following subjects: Economics (Honours) with Mathematics as subsidiary subject; or Mathematics (Honours) with Economics as a subsidiary subject; or Statistics (Honours) with Economics and Mathematics as subsidiary subjects.
Any other Bachelor’s degree (with 60% marks in aggregate) with Economics and Mathematics as subjects. For in absentia application: Bachelor’s degree with Economics, Mathematics and Statistics as the subject; and GRE scores.

According to the eligibility criteria of JNU for MA admission the candidate must have scored at least 45% marks in any discipline of BSc course. The school of Social Sciences in JNU provides MA in Geography. Since you have done BSc in Biology and if you have scored minimum 45% in your final exam then you are eligible to take admission for MA Geography from JNU.
