During my Jee Adv registration 2020, I have mistakenly uploaded OBC-NCL Certificate (with the old date of issue) instead of the Declaration in Lieu of OBC-NCL Certificate. Will I be able to upload the renewed Certificate?

Saiganesh The learner 19th Sep, 2020
  • Dear Student,
  • You say you has uploaded the declaration form instead of OBC-NCL certificate you uploaded it because it is mentioned in instructions if you don't have certificate issued after April 1 then you have to upload the declaration in the lieu of certificate. Now you don't need to upload your certificate if you have make it you have to submit this certificate at the time of counselling process.Make sure it is valid and keep it with you at the time of document verification process during your counselling.
  • Hope it is helpful

22 days are left for JEE Advanced , what should be my strategy in these remaining days? Ive got 95.49%ile in Mains Jan attempt and Im expecting a far better %ile in Sept attempt.

Pritam Singh 4th Sep, 2020

Hey there

Seeing your percentile you seem to be a bright student and thus i am assuming that you must have completed your syllabus. Just follow some steps like

1. Do not loose concentration in the remaining 22 days.

2. Solve previous year Jee advanced problems and Mocks are really important.

3. JEE does not expect 100% marks so don't get depressed if you stuck at a problem but always try to finish a selected problem on the same day.

4. Do not try new ways of study now as it will definitely hamper your studies

Hi aspirant,

The cutoff rank in JEE Advanced for IIST cannot be predicted in advance precisely. However, we can get and idea based on previous year cutoff because the cutoff will be more or less similar to this. what is meant by gender-neutral?? female only?? in opening and closing ranks of nit? who are eligible for gender-neutral?? is female only means womens quota??

Soumili Majumdar 16th Sep, 2020
Hello there,
Gender neutral means that the quota is applicable for all the genders whereas female only means the quota is applicable only for the female candidates. Female candidates can also apply for gender neutral quota since it is applicable for both. But females only quota is the reservation for girls. This is what gender neutral and females only mean in the opening and closing rank of the NITs.
Hope this answer helps you.
Thank you!!

Sir Im NEED TO KNOW BEST OF THE THREE CSE,ECE,EEE. please respond my question. I need to have a career in the field of robotics. please recommend me according to robotics field

Pritam Singh 9th Jun, 2020

Hey there

Different students have different perspective of seeing engineering branches and so interests are different. In the entire engineering branches no one is best and no one is bad the thing is what you like. CSE is mostly on coding so if you are interensting in coding, web development etc then do take the course. ECE is electronics and you should have interest in the semiconductor and devices. EEE is considered toughest of all as it has electronics as well as electrical and so wit electronics subjects you have to study Machines, power system etc.

Good luck

Sharon Rose Student Expert 22nd Jun, 2020

Hello,

To get seat in SVNIT, Surat with PwD reservations your pwd rank must be rank within 3000 and you need to score score 50-70 marks and your percentile must be 75 or above. In 2019 open pwd cut off was as follows for each branch in SVNIT

  • Mechanical: 2741
  • ECE: 2752
  • CSE: 1072
  • Civil: 251
  • Chemical: 473

This cut off may change this year depending on number of candidates appeared, difficulty of exam etc.

i am general pwd candidate.how many PR require in jee main to get admission computer science branch in svnit surat ?

Soumili Majumdar 20th Jun, 2020
Hello there,
Since you are from the PWD category, your cut-off percentile is lower than the other categories. You can easily get admission for CSE in SVNIT with a good score. 70-80 percentile will be enough for getting admission into any good engineering college.
Hope this answer helps you.
Good luck!!
