My SC rank in Jee Main 2020 is 17546. Can I get seat in any of the NITs, IIITs and GFTIs?

ARYAN SAGAR 6th Oct, 2020
Dear student,

If you have secured 17546 rank in sc category in jee mains 2020, then it's impossible to get any nits or iiits.
If you are an other state student, then there is no chance for you to get a nit or iiit or gftis.

Only If you belong to home state quota then you can get some nits like, nit sikkim, nit Meghalaya, nit Manipur, etc. and other low nits.
Also with this much sc category rank there is no chance for you to get good and top nits like nit Jamshedpur, nit trichy, nit warangal, nit durgapur, etc.
Also you cannot get any gftis or iiits.

For getting a sure seat in nits or iiits from sc category atleast you have to secure under 6000 rank in jee mains from sc category.

Better try at some other private institutions like kalinga institute of industrial technology or cv raman global university.

my my schedule caste rank in jee main 2020 is 8885 so so I get any NIT and IIT please give me answer

Ayush Singh 6th Oct, 2020
Hello Candidate!!

First thing I should clear you on the basis of JEE Mains Marks, You can get Admission Only in NITs, GFTIs, IIITs and Private Colleges.
For IIT, You have to clear JEE Advance with better rank.

With 8800+ rank under SC Category, You already know that reservations are there but many have scored higher than You also. Might they will get the seat but maximum drops and take the admission through JoSAA Counselling, which can provide you a Good chance.

You can also enroll in JoSAA Counselling and it will let you get the top Branches in Good NITs, but You should put an alternative too aside because if you didn't get seat then, You should choose that one.

Otherwise your whole one year will get wasted.
According to me, with this rank you can get NITs, but again the lower Branches You will get and Placements are also not very good in that.
So, Try to take Admission through JoSAA Counselling or in Top Private Colleges, which provides Better Placements.

I am providing You the link through which you can see all the Colleges you are eligible for:

Good Luck and Best Wishes for Future !!

I got 89 prepatory rank in SC category in jee advance 2020. now, what are the options open for me to take admission in Btech. Also, jee main 2020 SC rank was 11053 I belongs to rajasthan and did not participated in REAP. in class xii 2019, I secured 93.6%. pls guide.

kritiesse 7th Oct, 2020

Hello,

First of all I hope you know that preparatory rank doesn’t mean a rank in JEE Advanced. You’re not alloted a rank in JEE Advanced Rank List. The vacant seats reserved for SC, ST and PwD candidates, which don’t get filled in the counselling will be allotted to the candidates of respective categories for admission to a preparatory course. Preparatory courses mean that for one year you will be prepared and trained in IIT, and then after one year you’ll be declared ‘ pass’ or ‘fail’ according to which you will get a direct admission in an undergraduate course from next academic session i.e 2017.

So, the rank you have is for Preparatory Course, which is different from an actual undergraduate programme in IIT.

As for for your rank in Jee Advanced, 11053 is a pretty good rank for a nice college. Following the past trends, the top 20,000 rank holders get admission in IIT's or prestigious B.TECH Colleges. REAP or Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process is for students willing to take admission Rajasthan Technical University and the process is conducted for admissions to undergraduate engineering programmes leading to Bachelor’s degree. The admission procedure of (REAP) 2020 is conducted on behalf of Govt. aided and Private unaided technical institutions of Rajasthan. Candidates are offered admission in the University and affiliated institutes based on JEE Main/ NATA Scores or intermediate scores. So if you haven't given REAP, youb won't be accepted in Rajasthan Technical University since REAP is its main entrance test.

I have got 77000 rank in jee main 2020 by EWS catogery, Can i eligible for GGS college Bilaspur Chhattisgarh

Samarth Laghate 2nd Oct, 2020

Hello aspirant,

Congratulations for getting good rank in JEE mains 2020. If your EWS category rank is 77000 then you have very very less or no chances of getting admission into this institution because the cut offs for every branch in GGU Bilaspur for EWS rank is nearly between the range of 5000 to 10000 so your chances are very much low.

You should also go through the below link in which the las year cut offs for general category are given which are more than 2lakhs but that ranks are for general ranks not any category so don't get confuse.
