I have got a rank of 25,949 OBC rank in JEE Main 2020. Im having home state quota of Himachal pradesh. Can i get CSE 4 year programe at NIT Hamirpur in further rounds as 2nd round closing rank was 25551??

Amrit Raj 22nd Oct, 2020

Hello there ...

Every year cutoff for the courses varies as it depends on various factors.

As you have mentioned the cutoff of round 2 ,So being your home state quota of Himachal Pradesh it seems that you can surely get a seat in CSE 4 years at NIT Hamirpur in further rounds.

Also i would like to tell you that with this rank in OBC category someone would have got seat last year . you can go through the cutoff of previous year(  NIT Hamirpur  ) then you'll get more information regarding this.

Thanks..

I hope it'll be helpful..

i got 59 percentile in jee main 2020 obc nlc cetagory. Can i got any college based on my percentile.please reply.

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 12th Sep, 2020

Vishal, going by previous years data, the chances of you securing a seat in various Colleges are as follows:

  • Shreeyash College of Engineering and Technology
  • Konkan Gyanpeeth College of Engineering
  • Gyan Ganga Institute of Technology and Science
  • Sri Vishveswaraya Institute
  • ICEM

Now this is based on 2019 data and cut offs change every year. Cut offs depend on various factors such as total no .of seats available, difficulty of the exam, previous year cut offs, no.of Candidates appearing for the exam and no.of Candidates applying for a course. i got 181443 all indian & obc 58162 in jee main can i get any collage

Sonali Sahu Student Expert 12th Sep, 2020

Hello,

if you go for all India Counselling then getting top NIT campus with demanding branch will be difficult. if you use your categorical rank then you can get NIT campus. for demanding branch, you have to apply for lower rank NIT campus like

  1. Manipur
  2. Sikkim
  3. Nagaland
  4. Puducherry
  5. Arunanchal pradesh

the above mentioned option are based on previous year cutoff. for current year, cutoff may change by a great value difference.

After NIT campus, you can apply for your state government college for top demanding branch like CSE or ECE.

for precise college option based on your score, please use the jee college predictor :-

Your overall rank and  percentile is good. You could definitely get admission into  NIT or IIIT based on these and of your choice.

You could also get a good government college and a good branch like CS or ETC and Mechanical  based on your percentile and rank
