I am under EWS Category. My Rank in category GEN-EWS is 35274 in JEE MAIN 2022. Please suggest me the names of good B,Tech colleges in Delhi, NCR, Lucknow and Jaipur.

Piyush 9th Aug, 2022

hello aspirant,

With the above mentioned rank in EWS category in JEE mains and looking at the previous year JEE Mains Cutoff trends, you have less chances of getting core branches in some of the top NIT's or IIIT's in India. But you can get other lower branches in lower ranked NIT's like NIT silchar, NIT Jamshedpur, NIT Mizoram, etc.

Now, if you want to take admission in engineering colleges near Delhi-NCR, Lucknow or jaipur Locations, then you can take many of the State level Engineering Colleges which you can get with your Above mentioned EWS rank in JEE mains.

Some Colleges that I can suggest for you in the above stated regions other than NIT's are as follows :

DTU (delhi technological University)

Amity university

JIIT, Noida

JMI, New Delhi

NSUT, Delhi

Lucknow University

IET lucknow

Polytechnic Lucknow

BBAU Lucknow

University of Rajasthan, Jaipur

Government Ram Chandra Khaitan Polytechnic College, Jaipur

University Maharani College, Jaipur

And many more...

sir I got 59 percentile in jee main 2022 .And Im in SC category. can I get any government colleges for admission???

Maitri Mandal 9th Aug, 2022

Hello Aspirant,

As you have got 59 percentile in JEE Mains, your general rank will be around 420000 and your SC category rank will be around 20000. With this rank it will be difficult to get high demanding branches like CSE, IT, ECE etc in top NITs or IIITs.

You can go for State Counseling and private colleges there are advantages for you to get more colleges option.

Cutoff keeps changing year to year. Keep in mind that your chances to grab a seat will vary on the following basis:

CBSC 55 % mark , JEE main 2022 rank 55327 . which govt college can be available

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 8th Aug, 2022

Hi

This year 75 % criteria isn't there for NITs etc i. e there's no minimum percentage barrier in 12th

Making  prediction is difficult as  cutoff  depends upon various factors like :-

-----------) number of students/ candidates  that appeared in the  jee main exam,

-----------) number of available seats,

-----------) jee main examination difficulty level.

-----------) the branch you want,

-----------) the category you belong etc.

-----------) your rank in jee main

But yes,

When we go through previous year trend then

>>>>>>>>> With your mentioned rank

You have chances in following  government college  which are listed below along with their closing rank in 6th round of josaa counselling 2021 under other state/ all india quota   :-

-----------------) National Institute of Technology , Nagaland, Civil Engineering :- 57952

------------------) National Institute of Technology, Mizoram :- Civil Engineering:-58055

------------------) National Institute of Technology Agartala :- Chemistry (5 Years, Bachelor of Science and Master of Science (Dual Degree)) :- 58734

And a few more

You can check the closing ranks  at official website of josaa by going through the link given below

JOSAA 2021:- https://josaa.nic.in/Counseling/seatallotmentresult/currentorcr.aspx

Or

For previous year cut offs of top colleges like NITs, IIITs , you can also refer our page at :-

NITs :- https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/nits-cutoff-for-top-btech-branches

IIITs:- https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff-for-top-iiits

Above prediction has been made  considering  past year cut off data but  closing rank for colleges varies every year depending upon many factors like jee main question paper difficulty, number of students writing the exam etc so

To have a personalised report on your chances of getting a college you can go through our college predictor, it will give you complete list of colleges which you can get on the basis of the category you belong to,  your home state, your gender etc, the link for  jee main college predictor is provided below

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

To help you  further,

Minimum percentile in jee main 2022 to qualify it to be eligible for jee advanced is given below :-

--------) general :-   88.4121383 percentile

--------) EWS:- 63.1114141 percentile

I have secured 58272 in obc category rank in jee main 2022 . in which NIT I will get admission?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 8th Aug, 2022

Hi

Assuming you from general category

This difficult to predict as cut off keeps changing every year  depending upon various factors like

----------) number of students/ candidates  that appeared in the  jee main exam,

-----------) number of available seats,

-----------) jee main examination difficulty level.

-----------) branch preference by different candidates

-----------) the category you belong etc.

But yes,

When we go through previous year trend then ,

Under other state quota , closing rank for some of the nits for which closing rank goes low are listed below along with their closing rank in the 6th round of josaa counselling 2021 for general category  :-

------------------) National Institute of Technology , Nagaland, Civil Engineering :- 57952

------------------) National Institute of Technology, Mizoram :- Civil Engineering:-58055

------------------) National Institute of Technology Agartala :- Chemistry (5 Years, Bachelor of Science and Master of Science (Dual Degree)) :- 58734

You can check the same at its official website for which link is given below:-

JOSAA 2021 cut off :- https://josaa.nic.in/Counseling/seatallotmentresult/currentorcr.aspx

So    , to get a seat in NITs, you need at least around 55k - 58k rank,

Thus

  • with your mentioned rank,  chances for NITs is  low.
