Pros of doing 5-year dual degree integrated M.tech

1. If you have 100% sure you will pursue M.tech after completing of your B.tech than it's best choice.
2. You can study subjects which is related to your branch after your 2 year.
3. You can save lot's of time.
4. I have specific direction where you are going.
5. You will not forced to study unnecessary subject which is not helpful in your future job.
6. No need to prepare for extra entrance exam for high degree.
7. Your situation is like buy one get one free concept.

Cons of doing 5-year dual degree integrated M.tech

• Same environment for long 5 year term.
• You may get bored in middle of your course.
• You will have not flexible environment has B.tech person.
• You can't able to Swift branch after completing of your M.tech
• You can't even change your domain.

Integrated MTech would be certainly equivalent. Your specialization will get decided in the beginning. While in conventional you have to decide after BTech.

Important point is ranking of institute. If it is IIT nothing like it. For other you should check institute ranking and credibility.

Taking up an integrated course adds two whole years to your experience. Students who complete an integrated course have the advantage of opting to pursue a Ph. D in their field.

1. Number of students appearing : There has been an increase of 17% in the number of students appeared as compared to last year.
2. Increase in the number of seats : This year MCI has increased around 1000 seats all over India with new colleges comimg up.
3. Paper difficulty level : This year the paper was more or less same to last year’s paper with physics being lengthy and bio being easier than last year.
4. Inclusion of AP and Telangana: Both the states have been included in AIQ counselling this year. But along with it, their 300–400 medical seats have also come in the central pool.

So if you consider all these factors, point 1 and 3 tend to increase cutoff while point 2 and 4 tend to decrease it. So the cutoffs will be slightly higher than the previous year's cutoff.

In 2017, AIQ cutoff was around 557 so this year it will be around 560
