Hello dear

As you have scoring 80-120 marks in jee mains, so there is no  assurance of qualifying jee mains for this range of marks under general category, so the  chances of getting 1500+ rank in jee advanced is very less .if you want to get 1500+ rank in jee

Since there are two papers in jee Advance and there is subject wise cutoffs for them so one has to clear the cut of in both the papers or..

narendersingh3163_8250305 Student Expert 6th Apr, 2019

Hello dear,

You don't have to qualify subject wise cutoff in each paper of jee advanced it will be your combined subject wise marks of both the papers which will be counted for cutoff, after that  the total cutoff is checked for total marks.

Hope this clears your confusion.

Sir, I have got 86 percentile and 159618 in gen category. Will I get seat in NIT, Trichy?

Arpit Agarwal 16th May, 2019

Well, brother with over 1.5Lac rank you hold no chances to have a seat at NIT Trichy.

Rather I'm afraid that you cannot expect a seat at any NIT.

But relax your preparations and toil is not over yet. With decent hardwork you can still pull up a great college.
