As per 75% criteria you are not eligible but if you come in top 20 percentile of your board then you will be eligible for JEE Advanced.

There is no changes in JEE Main eligibility criteria, Only change is that JEE main rank will be prepared by considering only JEE Main score, 12th Marks won't be considered this year.

The basic difference is ; BITS is private college and IIT is govt college and only some top IITs are equivalent to BITS in placement and infrastructure, rest will come down from BITS.

@Ramesh: The rules have changed from 2014 to 2015 that is students opting for JEE exam can improve their CBSE result by applying for CBSE Improvement Exam ONLY IF the student has applied for all the five subjects. Good luck!
