I think opting for Bsc is not bad at all as it will act as a backup plan. But if you are really interested in engineering then i would suggest you to drop a year and prepare thoroughly for the exam. Considering the fact

See you have to appear only for 1 shift that is mentioned in your JEE-Main 2022 session 1 admit card. But if you have applied for both the sessions then it is upon you for which session you want to appear and you will be eligible to appear
