what happens when i pay the seat acceptance fee 35000 for an iit in josaa and i do not pay the admission fee later after the counselling is over,will i get the seat acceptance fee back??

So actually you are asking that what if you don't pay your remaining fee after accepting your seat through josaa counseling then in that case the iit you are taking admission in will not consider your admission as complete and refund of your seat acceptance fee will be according to

Dear Student,

Candidates who have registered for JOSAA will have to register again for CSAB counselling if you want to take part in the counselling again.

And yes you are eligible for the CSAB round of counselling if you haven't got any seat in the JOSSA counselling. Here you will

As the competitions for NIT’s are very high and hence the cutoffs are also very high so you required a great marks to get into NIT but never the less there are many more other good colleges where you can definitely try in your category and secure your admission

Yes you can definitely participate in csab even if you have withdrawn your seat or even if you have not withdrawn as well but here it would be advantageous for you to not withdraw your seat and move for csab counselling as if you are allotted a new seat then

The joint seat allocation authority has released the allotment for the fourth round at the official website of josaa . Students who qualify jee mains will be eligible for josaa counselling.

A candidate can withdraw the seat by reporting online which has been allotted in an IIT in JoSAA-2021 counselling. This option to withdraw the seat is available from second round and upto the fifth round of seat allocation that is before the last round of seat allocation. For NIT+

Even for nit+ system there are 6 rounds of counselling and the same 6 rounds for iit system but for nits for the left over seats a special counselling called csab counselling is organized where you can apply directly for the vacant seats after the josaa counselling apart from nits

I am attending JOSAA 2021. I cleared mains with a good rank but failed to clear advanced by a small margin. Should I withdraw in 5th round or proceed to 6th one? Can NIT alloted candidates participate in 6th round? I am now in 4th round and I have been allotted an NIT.

Hello student ,

It is not necessary for the student to own bank account for JOSAA counselling. The bank account of the parents will also do. The bank account details are required in case of refunds. So, there is no as such hard and fast rule to own an account

why Im not going up in josaa counseling, Ive scored 291 rank in jee paper 2 and I belong to SC and Ive scored 84P in Adv. I kept IIT in last in my preference in josaa. I got IIT in 1&2 rounds but now its not going up. Its 4 round now. What is the reason. Based on last year Ill get nit in 2nd

Dear candidate,

Since you are a Sc candidate, the colleges have reserved seats for Sc candidates. For example if a college has a total of 100 seats then only 13 to 14 seats would be reserved for Sc so there is a less chance for you to upgrade your branch
