A person who has filled choices in round 1 of jossa counselling can only go for further rounds, no one can start filling choices of colleges other than 1st round. You have to wait for next year, my condolences.

I dont think so. Most probably its kind of a hard deadline. I suppose you should be positive now and wait for CSAB. Many NITs and GFTIs have vacant seats in both Core and Circuital Branches in CSAB.
You should probably target your Home State NIT or New NITs CSAB

For Josaa counselling if you have selected in EWS category then it is necessary to take EWS certificate to counselling because on that category you would have got nice colleges than your common rank.
So you can get a certificate format of EWS category from josaa official
No, if you confirm and accept the seat in IIT or NIT, in any round of JOSAA, be it first or last, you cannot apply for CSAB in that Case. CSAB clearly states, one should not have any seat allotted through Josaa.

If you forget to lock the choices then there is nothing to worry about, josaa will automatically lock your choices . But it would be better if you lock the choices by yourself, so that you can check your choices.
