Which one is best ba hons in journalism or ba in journalism? Also is arihant ultimate guide for journalism and mass communication is suitable fo prepration of the entrance ?

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 28th Feb, 2021

Hi,

see b.a course with hons is more focused on the stream of study where general b.a course syllabus includes only the basic curriculum of the selected stream. so the syllabus would be much standard for b.a hons journalism then only b.a in journalism. however if you want to do further study on journalism in near future it would best to go with hons. now coming to arihant books its a preparation books consist of different university entrance test. besides it follow others core books like rs agarwal for aptitude and any good english grammar books for english test.   you may follow bankers adda magazine to prepare the gk portions.

Hey Chhavi!

BA in Media and Communication or BA in journalism is the best course for journalism in India as it is in more demand than BJMC or BMC. This course is of 3 years duration. And to be eligible to get admission in this course you must have qualified 10+2 from a recognized board. However, some colleges conduct personal interviews for admission in journalism courses and some conduct entrance exams. Some poplular colleges which offer journalism courses are:
