In India , it may vary 20000 to 35000 ,it depends upon which media organization is working for .if you have worked for some more year , you would have got up to 10000.this also depends upon the media .

Both are the good options, You can go as per your interest. Masters in mass communication you will have to choose one subject as your specialization and if you select Master in advertising and public relation you will have to do your specialization in the same subject.
