Please tell me about colleges :JSS NOIDA and CGC landran for btech... Will they be worth it?

Saurabh Yadav 28th Apr, 2025

Hii,

JSS Noida is a reputable college with extensive industry links, particularly in the IT and CS disciplines. It provides modern infrastructure and great job opportunities with firms such as TCS and Infosys. The costs are on the high side, but they provide a fair ROI.
CGC Landran is likewise well-regarded, with good placements in IT, CS, and Engineering, although its infrastructure and brand value may not be comparable to JSS Noida.

can i use my central gov caste certificate for physical reporting in JSS noida

Tanya Gupta 26th Aug, 2024

Hello,

Yes, you can use your Central Government-issued caste certificate for physical reporting at JSS Noida. Since the certificate is issued by the Central Government, it is valid across India, including in Uttar Pradesh, where JSS Noida is located. The certificate is recognized by all state and central government institutions, and it verifies your caste status.

hope this helps,

Thank you

If you have opted for a Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) seat but wish to fill a non-TFW seat instead, the procedure can vary depending on the institution or the counseling authority. Here’s a general approach to handle this situation:

1. Check Counseling Rules:

  • Official Guidelines : Review the official counseling guidelines provided by the institution or the counseling authority. These guidelines often outline the process for changing your seat options or preferences.
  • TFW Policies : Understand the specific policies related to TFW seats, as there might be rules regarding changing preferences.

2. Contact the Counseling Authority:

  • Inquire Directly : Reach out to the counseling authority or admission office to ask if it’s possible to change your preference from a TFW seat to a non-TFW seat.
  • Request Procedures : Ask about the procedure for making such a change, including any deadlines or forms you may need to fill out.

3. Update Preferences:

  • Online Portal : If the counseling process is conducted online, you might be able to update your preferences on the official counseling portal. Log in and check if there’s an option to modify your seat preferences.
  • Offline Procedures : If the process is offline, you may need to submit a formal request or application to change your preferences.

4. Understand the Implications:

  • Seat Availability : Be aware that switching from a TFW seat to a non-TFW seat might depend on seat availability. Non-TFW seats could be limited and might have different criteria.
  • Fee Structure : Understand how the change will affect your fee structure and overall costs.

5. Follow Up:

  • Confirmation : Once you’ve made the change, ensure you receive confirmation from the counseling authority or institution about the updated seat allocation.
  • Documentation : Keep any documentation or confirmation emails related to the change for future reference.

For precise guidance, it’s crucial to refer to the specific counseling authority’s instructions or contact them directly. If you need further help with a specific institution or process, let me know, and I can provide more detailed advice!
