Hi Karthik, Kakatiya University, kothagudem is a good University. The university has great placement records. The only criteria is that you should have 65% n above in order to get admission in this. Last year, the minimum salary package offered was between 2.8-4 LPA. Around 75% of students get placed every year. The seats in counselling are filled up in such a way that ,

If you don't get  preferred college in  second counselling for which you applied you will be left with old college which was alloted in round 1

In second round you need to put only good colleges for counselling ,it is because if you  you are unable to get into other good colleges you can continue with your old college which was alloted in round 1

If you get other good college in round 2 the fees which was paid for earlier college gets refund

As far as I have researched for kakatiya university it is an average college for btech. The faculties and campus size are decent. The placement statistics of this college is also an average point. Yes, on the basis of stream you can shift to CSE in B.Tech as there is no such restrictions. Now it also depends that will you be starting afresh or you would enter as a lateral. If you are starting afresh then you would still have time to cope but if you are entering as a lateral do not worry just take some preparations so that you can cope up with the other students. And the choice of college it solely depends on you and what you want and what the respective college has to offer.
