according to me and ratings as well kiit is way better than dayand sagar university. SO i mist suggest you to not to drop the kiit and go fOr it. And leave. Duyanand sagar univeristy. ALl the best have a great future ahead. 

You have to to attend the counseling round and yes there is chances of getting admission in kiit through direst admission even if you have not attend your counseling session. they will take your admission on the basis of your rank only. ALl the best.
