Hey Abhishek
As you may know KEA has released an official criteria for availing relaxation under reservation for KCET. For 2A reservation (under OBC quota) you need to fullfill the criteria of your family having an income of not more than 8 lakh. According to this you wont be eligible for 2A category. For more details I request you to read https://dpe.gov.in/sites/default/files/Reservation_Brochure-2.pdf . All the best!
KCET rank will be calculated by considering the performances in KCET and QE (qualifying examination) as well.I will explain with an example ,let us assume that u have scored 131/180 in KCET and 288/300 in QE,then your % marks in KCET is 72.77% and in QE it is 96% now they will add this two( that is, the formula goes like this
Rank will be given
R={(%KCET+%QE)/200}×100
Then they will sort ,who has got more R(i have taken this ‘R’ for better understanding) value will get good rank.
And the rank to a particular ‘R’ value varies every year
