The merit list of the candidates will be prepared based on the marks scored by the candidates in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in KCET 2018 along with the marks scored in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in the qualifying examination in the ration of 50:50.

I don't think your need any separate book for KCET , the question paper will comprise of questions in (Objective) Multiple Choice type format. The question paper (in each subject) will be in 16 different versions and each question asked will have four different answers from which you can select.

The eligibility criteria says you may appear in the exam if  have studied and passed from a recognised institution situated in Karnataka, with the academic study of at least 7 years this is the basic domicile requirement to be fulfilled to learn about academic requirements you can go through https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/kcet-eligibility-criteria 

No you need to fulfill their domicile eligibility criteria that is the candidate must have studied and passed from a recognised institution situated in Karnataka with an academic year of at least 7 years beside this they have their more acdemic requirements you can go through them on this
