To be honest there is always an advantage in doing A DM after doing MD in subjects like medicine or paediatric medicine because in today's world master degree is not the end point of medical education and super specialisation always gives you an added is not only to be the specialist of a particular branch like cardiology your endocrinology but also addresses the issue of being successful in corporate practice apart from holding important portfolios anyone government set up in super speciality hospitals and respective departments
To be honest I would also ask you to look out for fellowships like member of royal College of physicians MRCP or mrcpch if you are a paediatric physician in order to add to your records are you could do a course on endocrinology to become a diabetician and practices one are you could also going for diploma courses in cardiology or others medicinal sub branches to increase your curriculum with all the your practice would mainly depend on your confidence and clinical Acumen and hope you are successful with that
