hello mam/sir i got 87562 rank in kcet and i want to take ece course in btech so.. am i eligible to councelling and will i get seat in any good colleges as i am of obc caste of 1g category .. when will kea release the merit list plss reply to this answer

Sree Student Expert 26th Sep, 2021

Hi Mounica,

It is difficult to predict because cut-offs varies from year to year and depends on many factors like difficulty level of the exam, category, number of students appeared in the exam, number of seats available, etc.

Based on previous year's Closing Ranks you have chances of getting B.Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering branch in below mentioned Colleges for your KCET Rank.

Adhichunchanagiri Institute of Technology, Chickmagalur

Sri Siddartha Institute of Technology,  Tumkur

S J C Institute of Technology, Chickballapur

You can predict Colleges for your KCET Rank, using below mentioned College Predictor Tool.

May this information was useful.

Best of Luck!!

I have secured total marks of 107 in PCB in KCET.In KEA website for B.Sc agriculture they said the marks of all four subjects will be considered?? I am confused on what basis do they give rank in kcet for B.Sc agri??Will I get seat in govt agricultural college ? My category is OBC 2A

Akanksha 6th Sep, 2021

Hello Aspirant

With a score of 107 marks in KCET 2021 you can expect a rank around 3000-4000.

If you want to get a seat in BSc Agriculture then your marks for Physics, Chemistry and Biology are considered. So if you want to get into top colleges then you should have a rank below 2000. In order to get this rank, you should score more than 120 marks out of 180 in KCET if you want to get a BSc Agriculture seat in first round itself. For other colleges the cutoff is around 4000 till final round. Hence you have good chances to get a BSc. agriculture seat till final round of councelling.

Hope this helps

What will be the fees through kcet at engineering college Should I pay kea fees every year or else should I pay only the clg fees from second year

Nitesh 1st Oct, 2021

Hello Abhishek.

Hope you are doing good.

The KCET fees will be around Rs.59000 per year. In some colleges it will be around Rs.65000 per year. In deemed universities it will be around Rs.63000 per year.

This is only KCET Fees which we have to pay to KEA. Colleges will charge College Fees separately and this solely depends upon the college.

And yes, you should pay the KCET fees + college fees every year. And this you should pay to college only from Second year.

You can check this Official Link of KEA of 2020, to know the fees details:

Do students need to pay kea fee(56,000) every year along with the college tuition fee Even if the students get good rank in kcet?

Akanksha 30th Jul, 2021
Hii

You don't have to pay KEA fees every year. The KEA fees of 56000 rupees are to be paid only during the admission, i.e, during the first year along with tution fees. For the next all years you have to pay only the tution fees in college.

For students entering through COMEDK, the fees are much higher when compared to KCET fees. Fees through COMEDK is around 2 LPA.
KCET fees is around 80,000 LPA for different colleges. You will have to pay these fees as tution fees along with other fees like laboratory fees, miscellaneous fees, etc.

Hope this helps
