Though MA college is one of the oldest college in Kerala and is approved by AICTE and aided by the government, there are several other self financing colleges that you can opt for and which provide great placement opportunities. I secured 444 marks in NEET 2021. I am from Kerala obc ncl category. All India Rank - 140094 & All India OBC Rank - 61956. Is there any chance if I could get a seat in Thrissur Govt College & Thrissur Private Medical College for MBBS without fee charges ? Sir/Madam please give a reply.

piyush263001 8th Nov, 2021

Hello,

NEET 2021 results have been declared by the National Testing Agency NTA.

To predict whether you will definitely get a seat in a college is an uphill task as cut-offs for colleges change every depending upon several factors such as-

• Number of applicants in NEET exam

• NEET question paper difficulty level

• Score of the candidates in NEET 2021 result

• MBBS/BDS seat matrix 2021

NEET 2021 Cut-off goes like :-

• General /EWS- 50th percentile

• SC/ST/OBC - 40th percentile

• General-PwD - 45th percentile

• SC/ST/OBC-PwD - 40th percentile

Marks wise cut off is as following-

• General - 720-138

• OBC/SC/ST - 137-108

• Gen PwD - 137-122

• (OBC /SC / ST ) PwD - 121-108

Though it was expected that due to higher difficulty level of examination cut-off for colleges will decrease, but it turns out students have performed exceptionally well and the cut offs have increased compared to last year.

See it is quite difficult to help you with the exact list of colleges as the counselling is yet to be conducted and the cut-offs keep on changing every year.

According to previous year data closing ranks for the Government Medical College, Thrissur are as following for various categories for different categories-

Government Medical College, Thrissur

• General -748

• SEBC- EZHAVA - 969

• SC - 7404

• ST - 16313

• EWS- 1819

So from the given details your chances of getting the GMC is almost Nil .

With marks you are scoring you can get admission in few deemed universities which are mentioned  below-

• GITAM Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Visakhapatnam- 197 Marks

•BVDU Medical College and Hospital, Sangli:- 311 marks

• Aarupadai Veedu Medical College and Hospt., Puducherry:- 192 marks

•Sree Balaji Medical College and Hospital, Chennai:- 189 marks

• Shri Satya Sai Medical College and RI, Kancheepuram:- 173 marks

• Meenakshi Medical College Host. and Res. Inst., Chenna:- 169 marks

• Saveetha Medical College, Chennai:- 265 marks

• Dr. DYP Edu. Soc. Deemed Uni., Kolhapur:- 262 marks

• Vinayaka Missions Medical College and Hospital, Karaikal:- 257 marks

• Krishna Institute of Medical Sc., Karad:- 253 marks

• Sri Lakshmi Narayana Inst. of Med. Scien., Puducherry:- 152 marks

will I get government mbbs seat in Gian Sagar medical college? My neet score is 564 and Im from Kerala

SREYASHI SEN 8th Nov, 2021

Hello Aspirant...

This is to notify you that there are only three tests you can take to qualify for an MBBS seat: NEET, AIIMS, or JIPMER.

Aside from that, no medical school has its own entrance exam. The neet tests have already been completed for this year, and you can only apply for next year.

When it comes to a specific exam, such as the gyan sagar medical college entrance exam, if you are from the UR category, you must score at least 550 points. After taking the exam, you must wait for the results before determining whether you are eligible for counselling. Once you've applied for the counselling round, you'll be able to choose the universities of your choosing depending on your exam scores.

I hope this information helps.

Regards.

I got 85 percentile in jjee mains. I am in kerala, OBC-NCL.. Can I get admission in Srinagar for Matelurgical and MaterialEngineering branch.

Anurag Khanna 28th Sep, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

See without knowing your OBC rank it would be little bit difficult for us to guide you with the name of colleges that you can get, so please mention your rank in the comment section and then we would be able to give you the better guidance.

However if we analyze the past year's performance and this year's performance then your rank must be somewhere around 3 8000-45000.

As we go through the latest cut-offs of JEE-Main 2020 of JOSAA 6th round then it shows that :-

Closing OBC rank for NIT Srinagar was :-

  • Metallurgical and Materials Engineering branch - 16005 (Other state quota)

So you have quite low or almost no chances to get NIT Srinagar with Metallurgical and Materials Engineering branch.

You can check out the latest cut-offs from the link given below :-

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of latest cut-offs available on official website of JOSAA or CSAB and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.

To have a list of all those colleges which you can get based upon your marks, category, and state you can use JEE-Main College Predictor:-

  4. MNNIT, Allahabad.
  5. NIT, Calicut.
