What is the scenario of Mechanical Engineering at KIIT vs SRM (Main Campus) ? Which one is better according to fees, placements and faculty wise ? Also suggest a pvt college better for Mechanical Engineering.

Aditya 6th Jul, 2021

Hi aspirant,

Both the private colleges that you have mentioned are well known for their engineering programs all over the country. Kalinga institute of industrial technology ranks 42nd in the latest nirf engineering rankings. You will get an amazing infrastructure here with well equipped lab facilities. The faculties are highly qualified and have indepth knowledge of their subjects. You will have to pay around 3.5 lacs per annum for the mechanical engineering program. The average package for the same is around 4.5-5 lacs per annum.

SRM kattankulathur has a lot of similarities to that of KIIT. The parameters where SRM edges over KIIT is the lower fee structure and the high reputation it has build around in years. SRM ranks 41st in the engineering rankings just above KIIT. You can get detailed review of both the colleges at https://www.careers360.com/university/kalinga-institute-of-industrial-technology-bhubaneswar/reviews

You can prefer other colleges such as Manipal, MSRIT, PES, RVCE for mechanical engineering.

Hope it helps!!

hello sir iska form being application form kab release hota hai sir per year hota hai kya sir

Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology usually releases the KIITEE B.Tech application from in the month of November (mostly mid of November) every year. Like last year, the application for KIITEE B.Tech 2020 was released on 16th November, 2019. So it can be expected that the application forms of KIITEE 2021 B.Tech will also be released around that time. But this year the situation is bit different and as most of the events of 2020 have been delayed so the application of KIITEE B.Tech can also be delayed. However it all depends on the situation then. You can start checking the official website of KIITEE from November. If any kind of changes are made, that will be updated there. I got near 3000 Rank in KIITEE 2020, and sadly i have 61 % in 12th (PCM=45.6%), whether i will get admission in CSE, i dont want to ruin my future just because of my 12th percentage.

Hi there,

These are the criteria for btech
Candidates who have passed 10+2 examination in 2020,2019  are only eligible to apply for B.Tech(4 Years) course of the University.
Pass in 10 +2 or its equivalent with at least 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics taken together.
So you can get selected in kiitee, the companies also ask for 60% in 12 for placement , few companies ask for 70%.
However you have a real good rank, it depends on how you perform.
You can get selected on the basis of your rank. You can have any branch of your choice. It depends on the students response to college.
