Well there are many other ways to get into IISC other than KVPY. They are listed below:

1. Bachelor of Science (Research) programme: You get into IISC by by qualifying JEE Advanced with top rank to get in core courses of Physics, Chemical or Mathematics.

Ofcourse if you are having pcm then you can apply for kvpy. Infact you will be assessed only from these subjects. Kvpy is a exam of reputation that is you will be given chance of direct admission in IISC Bangalore. So do prepare by heart. I advise you

KVPY offers a wide variety of courses in Science stream (Biology/Maths) on which you can get a scholarship in graduation if you clear the KVPY exam and I am sorry to disappoint you but Agriculture is not one of those courses listed to get scholarship on.

Since you have passed 10th examinations and appearing for 11th class you will belong to SA Stream  eligibility criteria for SA stream is that :
You must have scored minimum 75% marks (65% for reserved category candidates) in aggregate in Science and Mathematics subjects in class 10th examinations.

Coming to your question around 1.5 lakh candidates appear from all streams ie SA, SB and SX out of   200 to 250  aprrox get selected in kvpy exam 

And this varies every year. For this year the seats are  SA-75    , SB-66      , SX -144
