Can i get job quite easily after doing Korean Hons and what are the most common jobs and there salaries???

SREYASHI SEN 16th Aug, 2021

Hey Daniya,

Yes, every subjects has got there perks and cons. It's impossible to give a single response to this topic because it's so broad. You will definitely get jobs after completing Korean Honours. To make a decent living in this industry, you must be able to communicate well in day-to-day tasks and be an expert in one or more fields.

Basic information is translated by interpreters. It's not difficult to find a job that pays around 30,000 dollars each month. I'd say a bundle worth 4 lakhs is quite basic; it's the cheapest you can get. In essence, there is no limit. If you have good communication and translation skills and are already extremely good in your profession, you can expect at least 7 to 8 lakhs easily. Really good people who are experts in their profession are compensated in the range of 15 to 20 lakhs.

That was about the job market in corporations. If you want to work in a different profession, such as a tourist guide, the situation is different; their earnings might be extremely high or extremely poor, depending on their networking, communication, and other social abilities. I know tourist guides who make around 45 millions per month and whose Korean abilities aren't really impressive. However, because they handle large groups of travelers, they make a lot of commissions from hotels, restaurants, and shopping establishments. Every purchase made by a visitor is taken from them. They get 30-40% commission on large sums of money, but that isn't for everyone.

It's a different story if you want to go into the world of freelancing. When you work as a translator or interpreter as a freelancer. Translators who are truly professional earn on average 3 to 5 rupees per word for translation, depending on their skill, networking abilities, and other factors.

It's not tough to earn 30 to 50 thousand or even 1 lakh per month from home if you're really excellent at it and have good networks and contacts with some firms, and you have your online profiles on freelancer.com or other websites. But getting to that point isn't simple.

It's a completely different scenario if you want to do business with Korea, such as import or export, or form a partnership with good people to do business with India and Korea. Those choices are always available. Once you've overcome the language barrier, you'll be able to communicate with a large number of Koreans and take advantage of numerous chances. We'll concentrate on the broader job market because that's where the majority of people work.

There are several Indian firms that do business in Korea and hire individuals in India to service Korean clients and customers, such as Amazon, Microsoft, and Oracle. The majority of multinational corporations employ Indians to provide support to their Korean clientele. There are numerous good companies, such as Samsung, Hyundai, and LG, as well as many smaller companies, such as Cera gym. They also employ Korean language interpreters and other services.

Hope this information helps.

Nikita 8th Sep, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

For admission in BA (Hons.) in Arabic, Persian, Chinese, German, French, and Russian, you need to be 12th passed or appeared with a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate. BHU offers diploma courses in Korean language, enabling Indian students to pursue an education in the language.

You cannot undertake Korean language along with the graduation course.  You need to pursue a diploma alongside your graduation to learn this language.

how is Korean university for business UG ??Is is good why r its requirements m procedure for admission??

Niranjana 15th Jul, 2021

Hello ,

Since Korea's academic climate is very competitive, it is an excellent and best place to study for students. Koreans place a great value on education, particularly higher education. The majority of Korea's top universities are concentrated in Seoul.

The top  B schools of South Korea is given below

  • Seoul National University – SNU Business School. ...
  • Yonsei University School of Business. ...
  • Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology College of Business. ...
  • Korea University Business School. ...
  • Hanyang University Business School. ...
  • Sungkyunkwan University Graduate School of Business.

Because the academic year begins in March each year, university applications are typically accepted beginning in January. Because various institutions have different admission dates, students should check ahead of time to see if any extra papers are required in addition to the ones listed above. Please note that a few courses begin in August or September.

All students and new candidates to South Korean institutions are encouraged to apply directly to their particular universities using an online application. The following are the steps in the application procedure and the papers that must be submitted:

  • Application form completed
  • Recommendation Letter
  • a copy of your passport, as well as a copy of your parent's passport
  • Proof of Korean or English language competency
  • Academic performance in prior schools/colleges
  • Personal statement/statement of purpose
  • If the student pays his own fees, a bank statement is required.
  • the student pays his own fees, a bank statement is required.

Also several scholarships are given for Indian students studying in Korea

In order to study in South Korea, prospective students will need a study visa. D-2 Visa for Regular Educational Programs — this visa is for students who are enrolled in Bachelors, Masters, or Ph.D. programmes, and the visa application procedure can take up to 10 days. Students should schedule their time properly.

Hope it helped

Thank you

what do i do now ? i want to be interpreter or translator but ryt now im doing ba in psychology in another clg and .. now Im thinking should i start first searching for institutions of language for learning korean ? tell me please

Akshita Dhiman 10th Jul, 2021

Hi there,

Firstly, I would like to elaborate on the difference between a translator and an interpreter. Yes, they are often used interchangeably but there is a slight difference.

Translator: If you are willing to sit in a cubicle surrounded by dictionaries and preparing a document duplicating the original., is work done by a translator.

Interpreter: interpreter on the other hand is a person that acts as a mediator between two persons and translator the entire conversation.

As you're already enrolled in a course I would suggest you start with a certificate program initially. See there are three types of programs you can enroll into a degree, a diploma, and a certificate program.

As you are pursuing a degree it'll be difficult for you to get into another degree program. The best-case scenario is to go for a diploma or a certificate course. Jamia offers certificates as well as part-time diplomas. It'll be easier as the classes will only be conducted on weekends for the part-time diploma.

You could pursue a diploma or certification and Jamia or from IGNOU.

http://www.ignou.ac.in/ignou/aboutignou/school/sofl/programmes/detail/655/2

The minimum eligibility criteria are for a candidate to be 12th passed .

It is the easiest way to start as of how and will also land you an entry-level job.

Sohamsengupta8 22nd Jun, 2021

Hello STudent

To study in Korea whether it is medicine or Technology candidate has to to clear the korean language test that is TOPIK test. For undergraduate program in Korea candidate has to pass the Test of proficiency in Korean language Topik3. And for graduate program candidate has to to take the test of proficiency in Korean language Topik 4. Other than these candidates have also to clear the ACT and SAT exam like  to study in America. Act for American college test that determine the candidate's eligibility of thinking , writing , speaking and analytical ability in Science topics also. SAT is for scholastic Aptitude Test which denotes the scholastic outlooks of the candidate.

So test of proficiency in Korean language and sat and act are also compulsory to study in in Korean Yonsei University for undergraduate medicine course.

Hope this helps.
