Is this college has suitable core companies for CSE students?

Sreeraj P 30th Jun, 2018

Hi Revanth.

In the case of CSE students, i'd say that placement in core companis, and presence o core recruiters, ar less in KCT. Out of 136 registered, 86 were placed in diferent companies. But they're not core CS companies. But good companies are there. When I went through the report of 2017, I saw names of Nokia, Huawei etc. But none were placed. And 4 from CSE were placed in Bosch. So, if you're good enough, you may get a good placment, depending upon the recruiters that visit during your time. Placements are there, but I don't think they're really good. You can check the report in the college' website. - http://www.kct.ac.in/placement-reports/

I scored 46.000 in tancet MBA. I belongs to bc category. Which colleges will I get?

Vanam Nikhil 29th Jun, 2018

Hello dear..

To get the best of colleges, you need to be on Day 1 of the counselling list. The last session of Day 1 also might not favour for students belonging to OC community. I got the noon slot on Day 1 and there were very few seats remaining in PSGIM though I belonged to OBC. Colleges like Anna University and PSGIM are the first few ones to get filled.

Now coming to Mrunalini’s question, you definitely would get any college of your choice, unless or otherwise someone was crazy enough to score even better!

Anna University vs PSGIM

A lot of factors depend when comparing Anna University and PSGIM. You gotta consider the exposure you get, faculty, infrastructure and most importantly placements. I chose PSGIM because I felt both the colleges were almost similar and also because I was a native of Coimbatore.

I’m not sure about the placements at Anna University but I can comment on the 2016 placements at PSGIM. About 90%–95% students are placed with Marketing department securing the highest number of campus hires. CTC varied from 3L-7L p.a. overall

Best of luck..

Vikas Gaur 12th Jun, 2018

Hi Kavya,

As per the official website of KCT Business School, Coimbatore, the institute offers general MBA program only. It’s a 2-year full-time management program affiliated to Anna University. The institute is approved by AICTE. As per Careers360 ratings, the institute has AAA rating which means “Above Average”.

KCTBS takes admission to its MBA course through MAT exam scores. The total number of seats offered for the program is 60. The candidates who qualify the MAT exam and fulfil the eligibility criteria of the institute will be called for GD and PI rounds. The final selection will be based on your overall performance.
