As per the prospects of delhi university bfs is included must 1 language + 3 elective subjects for ba[ hon] programs but some seniors taled to me a language is must English

Prachi Pant 2nd Oct, 2020

Hi

No, you can't include Arabic as a general elective subject for the calculation of your 'Best Four' percentage.

Yes, you must include 1 language and 3 elective subjects for the calculation of your best four percentage and the subjects has to be chosen from the List A and List B respectively which is already set by Delhi University.

To know about calculation of your best four percentage, kindly refer the link provided below -

Hello Aspirant

According to the percentage you have mentioned in the question you have decent chances of getting Shri Ram College of Commerce for B.Com (Hons.) and specially for the category from which you belongs to i.e. OBC-NCL.

Above prediction is based upon previous years cut-off because the cut-offs for this year has not released yet and hence I am guiding you on the basis of previous year cut-offs. You can check those cut-offs from the link given below :-

You can also use DU College Predictor to predict your college according to your percentage and category, link for the same is given below :-

I have passed out my 12th class this year and I want to learn coding now. What should I do for learning coding and which programming language should I opt first, as a beginner ?

Kamal Kishor Chaurasiya 22nd Aug, 2020

Hi Shakshi,

The process of writing code is called coding and the person by whom code is being written is called coder. You can learn coding by joining a Coding Class.

There are many companies/organisations which offer coding classes either online or offline. You can join them and learn. In the prevailing conditions it is better for you to join online classes.

You can start any language to learn coding, be it C language, C++ language, Python language or other. But I will recommend you to start with C language because it is the basic language for the other languages. Learning this will ease your further path for other languages. Though you can start with Python also.

Hope it helps you.

How to proceed for C++ progamming language ?

rehan18alam Student Expert 16th Aug, 2020

Dear Aspirant,

The first thing you should do is pick up a book and read it from cover to cover. And remember this is not like a bed time reading, read it actively. Any good book will take at least 2-4 months to get done with. After you have one book completed, you will have a very strong command over the language and its unique features. Then you can move to game development in C++ Unity.

Here are few resources:-

‘C++ Primer’ by Stanley B. Lippman, Josée Lajoie, and Barbara E. Moo

‘Effective Modern C++’ book by Scott Meyers

Hope this helps. Thank you.
