You have not mentioned any details regarding your score like the entrance exam in which you scored (like clat, etc.) and your category ( reserved or unreserved). Therefore it is difficult to judge whether you have got good marks or not.

• Step 1- Fill the Basic Information.
• Step 2- Visit CLAT Official website and click on “ApplyOnline”.
• Step 3- Scan and Upload the Documents. Use the provisional User ID and password to log in again. 
• Step 4- Fill CLAT Application

Yes, it is compulsory to write the entrance exam for admission in Heritage Law College(Kolkata). The entrance exam is conducted by the University of Calcutta. The Merit list is prepared on the basis of entrance exam and admissions are done on the basis of that merit list.
