It will totally depend on your home state i.e, in which state do you belong. In NITs there is 50% seats are reserved for their home state students.  Most of NITs has closing rank above 70,000 for home state students. Though you can get Production Engineering in BIT

Yes sir, you can apply for law as there is no age bar in getting a law degree, you just have to study hard and clear law semesters
